We offer three types of biochemicals

Our three product segments within biochemicals are chemical building blocks, lignin products, and biomedical products.

Lignin is one of nature's most abundant materials. It is the glue that provides compressive strength to wood and it also makes cell walls water repellant and durable. It is these properties that make lignin an ideal bio-based substitute for various petro-based products used today.
UPM BioPiva lignin for resin formulations is one example of this kind of products. BioPiva allows resin producers to substitute up to 70% of their petro-based raw materials with a non-toxic, 100% bio-based, and cost effective alternative, without compromising product performance. Read more »
